"September 10th"

This poem was first published in the Spring 2008 edition of The Broad River Review, the literary journal for Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.  Considering tomorrow is the ninth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, I thought I would post this video of my reading this poem with the text and some photos included.

For me, I am not only able to remember September 11, 2001 but also the day before, perhaps because it held something that, due to the following day's events, we as Americans would never get back.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who lost someone dear to the September 11th attacks.

I enjoyed this poem. This long after 9/11, I simply can't recall the day before. Thanks for preserving the moment.
